who we are

We are Paula and Antony Hosking.
We have worked together as a very successful team in the teaching profession in the U.K. for many years, specialising in the Visual Arts.
Paula - Ceramics and Fine Art.
Antony - 3 Dimensional Studies and Photography.
For a change of direction, we stopped teaching within a salaried environment in order to develop our own work and also run courses.

where we are

We have just moved to Perranarworthal, between Truro and Falmouth in Cornwall, England.

what we do

We run Creative Courses in the application of photographic techniques, working with large format and pin-hole cameras. The captured images are then made positive using historic processes: e.g. Argyrotype, Palladio, Cyanotype, and Bromoil. These are essentially monochromatic images. Click here to see some examples.

why we do it

We are passionate about image-making, particularly photography and firmly believe in a 'hands-on' experimental approach, that will enthuse and inspire people who come here.

what you need

You do not need anything other than to be over 18 years old and to have a huge amount of enthusiasm and a sense of enquiry about image-making. You will also need sturdy boots, waterproof and warm clothing.
